● RECIPROCITY FEE
REVOKED FOR US CITIZENS BY PRESIDENTIAL DECREE
US citizens are exempt from paying the reciprocity fee
by Presidencial Decree No. 959/2016, published on August
23, 2016.
The reciprocity fee still applies to Australian and
Canadian passport holders.
● If you are a bow
hunter, don’t forget to add knee pads and leather gloves
to your regular hunting gear.
● If you are not sure
about bringing your rifle or shotgun to Argentina, you
should know that the process of going through Customs
with them is not complicated and Cerro Indio Safaris
will assist you through it.

If you hate doing paperwork
and you don’t wish to bring your guns with you, you
should know that Cerro Indio Safaris has a wide variety
of calibers available for use.
● A
bow hunter pulling 58 pounds and over should be able to
get all different South American species including water
buffalo.
●
Electricity in Argentina and in Chile is 220 volts.
●
For duck hunting waders are not necessary, hip boots are
perfect.
●
At the moment of packing, consider there is daily
laundry service at all our lodges. Thus, there is no
need to travel with huge suitcases and carry plenty of
extra cloths.

The following is a checklist for bowhuntes: Bow (with
fresh cables and string), bowcase, bowquiver with hood,
compound string changer, arrows, extra broadheads and
replacement, practice arrows and broadheads, hunting
stabilizer, extra sight pins, armguard, shooting glove
or tab, extra glove or tab, string silencers, arrow
holder, extra arrow rests, string wax, binoculars,
rangefinder, extra batteries for it and flashlight.
